Terms of Service

Welcome to HiddenFM ("HiddenFM", "we", "us"). HiddenFM is an anonymous music discovery platform where listeners discover tracks without seeing who made them, can reveal the artist, and can support or buy a track. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use HiddenFM.

HiddenFM is a new, pre-launch service provided "as is". Features, pricing and availability may change.

1. Who can use HiddenFM

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use HiddenFM. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything that happens under it. Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.

2. Your content and the rights you must have

When you upload a track, artwork, or other material ("Your Content"), you confirm that you own or control all rights required for that content - the recording, the composition, any samples, and any artwork - and that distributing and selling it on HiddenFM does not infringe anyone else's rights. You confirm this on every upload. Uploading content you don't have the rights to is a serious breach of these Terms.

You keep ownership of Your Content. By uploading it, you grant HiddenFM a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host it, stream a reduced-quality preview/copy to listeners, generate a waveform and a streaming version, display its metadata, and - when a listener purchases it - deliver the full-quality file and a license to the buyer on your behalf. This license exists only to operate the service and ends when you remove the content or your account, except where a completed sale or our legal obligations require us to retain records.

3. Anonymity and reveal

HiddenFM hides your identity and your track's title from listeners until they reveal you. When a listener reveals or buys your track, your public profile (name, bio, social links) and the real title become visible to that listener, and your profile becomes reachable. Don't put information in anonymous fields (titles, descriptions) that you don't want connected to a hidden track.

4. Money: earnings, fees and payouts

• Listening to full tracks is free. Listeners pay to reveal beyond their free daily reveal, to tip, and to download.
• On reveals and downloads, the uploading artist currently receives 100% - during our founding period HiddenFM retains no platform fee. We may introduce a platform fee of up to 20% on future transactions, with notice, as described below.
• On tips, the artist receives 100% - HiddenFM takes no commission.
• Earnings accrue to your internal balance. You can request a payout once your balance reaches the minimum (currently $50).
• Payouts are made manually to the PayPal email you provide. You're responsible for providing correct payout details and for any taxes you owe on your earnings.
• Prices, splits and the payout minimum may change; changes apply going forward, not retroactively to completed transactions.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your card details. A buyer's purchase of a download includes a license to use the track as described at the point of sale. All sales are generally final except where required by law.

5. What you may not do

• Upload content you don't own or control the rights to, including unauthorized remixes, samples or stolen tracks.
• Upload anything illegal, hateful, or that violates someone's rights or privacy.
• Manipulate plays, reveals, sales or any metric, or use bots or fake accounts.
• Attempt to download, scrape, rip or redistribute the streaming audio or other users' content.
• Interfere with, probe or attack the service or its security.

6. Copyright

We respond to copyright complaints and remove infringing material. See our Copyright & Takedown Policy. We may disable tracks and terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, and remove content, if you breach these Terms or to protect HiddenFM or its users. You can delete your account at any time (you can't delete it while a payout is pending or a balance is owed - request payout first). Some records of completed transactions are kept as required by law.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

HiddenFM is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee any level of plays, discovery, revenue, uptime, or that content is free of leaks or infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HiddenFM is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid us (or earned and were owed) in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use HiddenFM after changes take effect means you accept them.
